RED

Red went from a stray dog found at a BBQ to a much loved family member of Dr. Claire & Tim. Learn about her journey...

Red was found in 2012 by our Co-Founder & Managing Trustee, Casey, while she was at a birthday barbeque. She was malnourished, had an old injury to her back leg, and had clearly had quite a few litters. Casey lured her in with food and it was immediately apparent how sweet Red was and how she just wanted to be loved, so she brought Red into our Nadi clinic. Red gained weight and her health back. She became part of the vuvale (family) as she waited for her furever home.

In 2013, Dr. Claire (Lowy) Clark came with her now husband, Tim, to volunteer with Animals Fiji. It was clear from day one that Claire and Red had a connection. Before she left she promised Casey she and Tim were going to be Red's furever family and would be in touch to organize Red's trip to Australia. Claire and Tim kept their word and a few months later, Red made her way to join Claire, Tim, and her new fur siblings.

In 2015, when Claire and Tim tied to knot, Red was in the ceremony (see below photos)! Claire has stayed in touch with Casey and Red is doing extremely well picking her fur sister, Jack, the black cat as her favorite sibling. Since Red has gained her first human sibling. Despite getting on in age, Red is still full of love and much loved by the Clarks.

As many dogs and cats in shelters, Red has had to fight so hard to survive, but she has never let her struggles jade her love for humans. Please give another animal in need a second chance by donating.
